Birding Aquatic Park-Berkeley

As it is a slow work week, I manged to get in a rare midweek birding walk.  I went to Aquatic Park in Berkeley, which is literally right next to interstate 80.  The freeway doesn’t seem to bother the birds. Today I saw American Coot, Mallard, Pied-billed Grebe, Western Grebe, Clark’s Grebe, Snowy Egret, Great Blue Heron, Black-crowned Night-heron, Red-breasted Merganser, Common Goldeneye, Bufflehead, Scaup, Brown Pelican, American Crow, Double-crested Cormorant, Ruddy Duck, Dunlin, Marbled Godwit, Avocet, Least Sandpiper, Anna’s Hummingbird, Black Phoebe, and Gulls (best guesses are Ring-billed and Western).

Thanks. That one and the Pied-billed Grebe were my personal favorites of the day.
