Mushroom Foray Albion, California January 27-29, 2012

The Bay Area Mycological Society is sponsoring the fifth All California Mushroom Club Foray on January 27-29, 2012 in Albion, California. It takes place at the Albion Field Station near Mendocino. The foray will focus on taxonomy, is in the middle of winter mushroom season and is near prime mushroom habitat.  It will include guided forays and the chance to work on collections at the field station lab.     I’ve been to this and it was fun, though it was not a banner year. Hopefully we’ll get some rain between now and then!

      Thanks for your review. I once did a Jepson Herbarium mushroom workshop up there and enjoyed it. I did decide that wild mushrooms are best bought in the markets unless collecting with an expert.
