You CAN Visit California’s Closed State Parks

Closed State Parks Will  Be Open To Walk-ins

Tom Stienstra reports that closed California State Parks will be open to walk-ins and bikes. Some parks you can just park outside and walk in; others you may need to climb a fence. There will be no services at these parks including trash collection, bathrooms, or rangers. This means if you do go to one of these parks it is important that you practice “leave no trace” behaviors and take all trash out with you.

He also names the thirteen of the seventy parks on the closure lists will be taken off.  This is due  to partnerships with a variety of community groups and the national park service.
