Australia is creating a huge new marine reserve. The Coral Sea Commonwealth Marine Reserve will be 385,000 miles and bigger than the combined size of Germany and France. It includes coral reefs, ancient sponge gardens, deep-sea canyons, and underwater volcanoes. It will protect fish, pristine coral reefs and nesting sites for sea birds and the green turtles.
