Tips On Getting The Right Photo Equipment

The PhotoNaturalist  blog posted suggestions about making sure you buy cameras and photos gear from reputable sellers. (There are plenty of unscrupulous sellers so buyer beware).  He suggests either buying from a known local store or on-line from a well-known company such as B&H or Adorama.  Local stores are best for personal service and being able to try equipment “hands on”.  The on-line dealers have the largest choice and best prices. You can avoid most problems by staying away from unknown or unauthorized dealers.  Read his full article including valuable comments at: Be Careful Where You Buy Your Camera Gear.

Rob Sheppard’s Nature and Photography blog has an article Thinking About Lenses that talks about quality of different lens. He discusses the pluses and minuses of entry-level, mid-level and pro level lens. If you are considering buying a new lens this article may help you decide what is right for you.

dpreview.com is the go to site if you are looking for the best reviews on the web for cameras and lens.  The reviews and detailed and very informative.  I have learned a lot about my cameras from these reviews that were not mentioned in the manual.

Comments with your suggestions most welcomed.
