Good opportunity to see an asteroid.
On November 8 – Asteroid 2005 YU55 will be doing a flyby. The asteroid known as 2005 YU55 will make a close approach to the Earth. The Asteroid is about 1,300 feet in diameter will pass closer to the Earth than the Moon. It is not expected to pose a threat to the Earth. Asteroids this size pass this close to earth only about once every thirty years. Many astronomy groups are planning to observe the flyby.

Looks like it’ll pass in the daytime on the 8th, but at night (around 11 p.m.) on the 9th around our parts. Couldn’t have happened during new moon, alas….
