Halloween At The Regional Parks Botanic Garden

I went to the Regional Parks Botanic Garden to see the Gentian. I was surprised to hear it was in bloom as it was the same species as the one at Pt. Reyes the beginning of July.  I went up Friday and they were only in bud. The treat was one was open for Halloween, but the trick was it had been nibbled on. I also saw a few California Poppies, Zauschneria, Gum Plants, Tree Poppies, Goldenbush, Mallows, Roses, and several Buckwheats.  The Manzanitas are starting to bud out and it won’t be too long before they start their early season bloom. Here are a few photos from Halloween.
