Due to climate change, animals are moving to cooler areas three times faster than previously thought. A recent report in the journal Science studied 2000 species. Researchers found that those species subjected to the greatest warming were moving the most. Species are averaging a move of 17km per decade away from the equator and a meter per year uphill.
