US Wildlife Officials Investigate Eagle Deaths At Wind Farm

The LA Times reported that the Federal government is investigating the deaths of Golden Eagles at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s Pine Tree Wind Project in the Tehachapi Mountains. To date no wind energy company has ever been prosecuted for the death of birds protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.
