 The Monterey Bay Birding Festival is September 22—26, 2011

Field Trips and Events include more than 65 lectures, workshops, tours and more are priced on an a la carte basis, allowing birding enthusiasts to plan their schedule according to their interests and budget. Over 25 different walks will take place in environments as varied as redwood forests, the Monterey Bay, and the grasslands of the Pinnacles National Monument, among many other locations. Birders from outside California can participate in field trips that will allow them to check many native birds off their list, while locals will find several trips geared toward seeing traditional favorites and broaden their horizons. Lectures and workshops, meanwhile, will discuss not only specific fauna, but also techniques and equipment that can improve the experiences of the beginning and seasoned birder.
