There will be a solar eclipse tomorrow January 4.
Watch the Eclipse on-line 7 to 10 UTC ( 11 PM to 2 AM Pacific) at: http://astronomylive.com/livestream/1381/partial-solar-eclipse
A solar eclipse is the result of the moon aligning between the Earth and the sun. The moon blocks the sun’s light and casts a shadow on earth. It will be visible over most of continental Europe, North Africa , the Middle East and Central Asia. This will be the first of four partial solar eclipses in 2011. There are no total eclipses of the sun this year. The eclipse begins at 6:40 UT in Algeria. Read more at these two articles in National Geographic:
