Petrosaurs are large flying reptiles. Wired Science ran an article about a large pterosaur (Quetzalcoatlus northropi) that could fly ten thousand miles without stopping. It was a giant pterosaur that was as tall as a giraffe, had a 33 foot wing span and lived over 65 million years ago. The name Petrosaur means winged lizard.
