Wildlife Photographers Help to Save Rainforest

A group of famous wildlife photographers recently released a series of photos of British Columbia’s Great Bear rainforest. The intent of their efforts is bring attention to species that would be threatened by a proposed oil pipeline.

The photos are part of a Rapid Assessment Visual Expedition (RAVE), which is a visual and media assessment done in a short time period of a threatened area.  It is  an initiative of the International League of Conservation Photographers.  Photographers participating included  Jack Dykinga, Joe Rils, Daniel Beltra, Thomas P. Peschak, Andrew Wright, Christina Mittermeier, and Ian McAllister.
