There is mounting evidence for a strong La Nina season.
This means less rain on the west coasts of North and South America. This raises the possibility an increased hurricane season for the Atlantic Ocean. The cooling Pacific Ocean means less rainfall for California; this is especially true for the southern part of the state and possibly even the Sierra Nevada. To read more go these stories:
