The plant on the Chimney Rock Wildflower sign at Pt. Reyes is not Johnny Tuck (Triphysaria eriantha ssp. rosea). Johnny Tuck is found near the parking lot growing on the rocky area as you walk towards the water tank. The plant pictured on the sign is San Francisco Owl’s Clover (Triphysaria floribunda), which has cream-colored flowers and is found at the tip of peninsula. You can find pictures of these two species side-by-side on the Marin CNPS website: http://www.marin.edu/cnps/ posted under Wildflower reports on April 17. Correction thanks to Doreen of Marin CNPS.
