Yosemite’s Resources Management & Science Division is looking to fill two paid internships through the Scientists in Parks (SIP) program.
These internships offer immersive, paid work experiences in natural resource fields, allowing you to work on real-world projects while gaining professional experience and forming a lifelong connection with Yosemite National Park.
🦉GIS Assistant (January 5 – May 25)
Support Yosemite’s Terrestrial Wildlife Program by managing and displaying data related to wildlife projects such Sierra Nevada red fox, great gray owl, and songbirds. Work on an image database for endangered species.

🪨Geomorphology Assistant (January 5 – May 25)
Update our rockfall database and contribute analyses to reports and publications. Many prior SIP participants in Yosemite have been co-authors on peer reviewed maps and publications! Additionally, work on an application to record hydrological conditions from field visits.

Applications are due October 12, but may close sooner, when 60 applications are received. Housing and a living stipend are provided.
