A species of wild Pacific pink salmon, known locally as pukkellaks, introduced decades ago through Russian stocking programs. In recent months, its spread along the country’s northern coastline — particularly in Finnmark and Troms near the Russian border — has grown dramatically, drawing headlines and concern from regulators and scientists alike.
