Pinyon Jay being considered for endangered species list

from Defenders of Wildlife
“It is one of the fastest declining bird species in the U.S. It’s lost about 85% of its global population since the 1960s, and the remaining smaller population is expected to be cut in half again by 2035.” – Peggy Darr, New Mexico representative for Defenders of Wildlife.
USFWS is considering adding the Pinyon Jay to the endangered species list. Read more about the need for this critical species and its role in the piñon-juniper woodlands of the Southwest. https://dfnd.us/45HNVFj
