Birding The Richmond Bay Trail 10/20/17

Today I went birding along the Richmond Bay Trail with a group of Golden Gate Audubon Docents on the Richmond Bay Trail. We walked out and back between the Central Av. Trailhead and Meeker Slough. Highlights included seeing two Ridgway’s Rails, including one flying across the path, a Kingfisher, a pair of Canvasback Ducks, Black-crowned Night-herons by the first bridge and in the trees by the parking lot, a pair of White-tailed kites making several appearances. We identified 54 different species. See bird list at http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S40030412 .
