Lake County Wildflowers

The San Francisco Chronicle reports

One of the best viewing spots for California wildflowers this spring will be Highland Springs Recreation Area, a rugged 3,200 acres just south of Lakeport on Clear Lake. It’s part of the California Floristic Province, which protects a high concentration of endemic and endangered wildflowers and plants.
