3-15-16 Antelope Valley – purple wildflowers, poppies and Joshua Trees in full bloom 3-13-2016

3-13-16 From Bakersfield out hwy 58 to Carrizo Plain. Miles and miles of gold fields, mixed with phacelia and tidytips. Soda Lake is a real lake with water! Hwy 58 (from Soda Lake Rd) to 101 is lush and green with pretty hills of gold fields.

Anza Borregohiking.com  reports on the Arroyo Salado area, we encountered Master Blister Beetle, Lytta magister on Brittlebush, Encelia farinosa, hundreds of them.
