The Oakland Museum’s Friday Night event on Feb. 26 is for two free screenings of “Trailhead,” an inspirational and beautifully filmed documentary about the redwood parks of Oakland. The 20-minute film features the people, history and natural wonders of Joaquin Miller Park and the East Bay Regional Park District’s Redwood Regional Park. Sponsored by the Park District, the screenings – at 6:30 and 8 p.m. – will include a question-and-answer session with producer Stan Dodson and retired Park District trails coordinator Jim Townsend. And while you’re there, you can check out the Museum’s art, history and nature galleries, as well as the myriad food trucks and live music.
