  • Tilden Nature Area, Berkeley Friday, September 4, 2015, 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. (First Friday bird walk)
  • Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, Oakland Saturday, September 5, 9 a.m. – 12 noon
  • Vaux’s Swifts at McNear Brickyard, Marin County Saturday, September 5, 6:30 p.m. to dusk
  • Crab Cove and Elsie Roemer Bird Sanctuary, Alameda Sunday, September 6, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
  • San Francisco Botanical GardenSunday, September 6, 8 – 10:30 a.m. (First Sunday bird walk)
  • Vollmer Peak, Tilden Regional Park, Berkeley Friday, September 11, 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (Second Friday bird walk)
  • Coastal San Francisco Saturday, September 12, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • North Beach/Telegraph Hill, San Francisco Sunday, September 13, 8 – 9:30 a.m. 
  • Vaux’s Swifts at McNear Brickyard, Marin County Sunday, September 13, 6 – 8 p.m.
  • Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, Oakland Wednesday, September 16, 8:30 – 10 a.m. (Third Wednesday bird walk)
  • Corona Heights, San Francisco Friday, September 18, 8 – 10 a.m. (Third Friday bird walk)
  • Aquatic Park and Waterfront, San Francisco Saturday, September 19, 8:30 – 10 a.m.
  • Coyote Point, San Mateo Saturday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m. to 12:00 noon
  • Fort Mason Community Garden, San Francisco Sunday, September 20, 8 – 10 a.m. (Third Sunday bird walk)
  • Lake Merritt and Lakeside Park, Oakland Wednesday, September 23, 9:30 a.m. – noon (Fourth Wednesday bird walk)
  • Vaux’s Swifts at McNear Brickyard, Marin County Saturday, September 26, 5:45 – 7:30 p.m.

      I would encourage you to contact the chapters of your local environmental groups: Sierra Club, Audubon and Native Plant Society.
