Oregon Wildflower Reports 6/7/15

Oregon Wildflowers has two new reports

Chinidere Mountain 6/7/15 in the Oregon Cascades

Many forested flowers are blooming, including: plenty of beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax), profuse star-flowered Solomon’s seal (Maianthemum stellatum), Pacific bleeding heart (Dicentra formosa), Hooker’s Fairybells (Prosartes hookerii), wild ginger (Asarum caudatum), et cetera.

Blooming at the summit: Penstemon (Penstemon davidsonii?), Indian paintbrush (Castilleja hispida), catchfly (Silene sp.), western wallflower (Erysimum capitatum), Spring Gold (Lomatium utriculatum), spreading phlox (Phlox diffusa), and more.

The annual kaleidoscopic wildflower display has begun. Based upon her photos, I think that it is not yet at its peak. See website for lots of gorgeous photos!
