Natural History Wanderings

This year’s San Diego Bird Festival March 5 to 8.  There will be workshops, field trips including three pelagic trips, social mixers, keynote banquet,  family day, and Birding & Optics EXPO are returning in 2012. The field trips will go to all areas of San Diego County.  Destinations include the desert and mountains, lake and lagoons, and four pelagic trips. There are special events for families and children on Sunday, March 4. Kid-friendly activities include a Beginning Bird Art Workshop, the Raptor Rap Workshop, and a Bird Calling Workshop. This year’s keynote speaker is Bernd Heinrich. Special Guests are Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum Birdy Bluegrass Virtuosos
