Yosemite Area Wildflowers 5/29/14

Calphoto has the following wildflower update for the Yosemite area:

wildflower shooting along CA120. I was all wrong on the location of the Mariposa Lilies.  We went down to Rainbow Pool and walked back up to shoot the flowers.. Going out of park, there were mariposa lilies. Once on CA 120 there were Mariposa Lilies in 4 spots with 2 or more places with good parking. We saw white, light pink, darker pink and lavender lilies.  Before that we stopped in Groveland, passed the field of bachelor buttons and turned and School St. to get flower shots.Next stop was Evergreen Road. Stopped at Lower Carlon park for a Western Azalea. Before that got dogwood. Between there Tuolumne River and Hetch Hetchy I captured at least a dozen species and passed up as many more. There were nice meadows too. We have gone down this road about 8 times and this was the best. There was a lot of damage from the Rim Fire, and there are logging trucks and heavy equipment to watch out for.
