Natural History Wanderings

If you are wondering why I am writing about this article or if you are wondering about my being slow to update today’s wildflower reports, they are related. There was a lightning strike about two blocks from me. It was one of the few times I saw lightening and heard thunder at the same time. I thought it might have hit the nearby school. It didn’t, it hit a redwood tree just over two blocks away. Several houses had windows broke from flying pieces of the tree. No one was hurt.
