National Geographic reported that Albania has banned all hunting of birds and other wildlife for two years. Albania is a a major flyway for migrating birds and has been heavily hunted. Hunting has included not only game birds but also eagles, cranes, shorebirds, endangered Balkan Lynx, Roe Deer, Chamois and even small song birds. Hunting has been almost completely unregulated and even has taken place in national parks.
