Anza-Borrego Botany Festival & Plant Sale

5th Annual Botany Festival & Plant Sale

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Visitor Center

ABDSP Visitor Center, Borrego Springs

The Botany Festival and Plant Sale presented by Anza-Borrego Desert Botany Society. The public is invited to all events. No charge.

FRIDAY, NOV. 29

9:00 am to 3:00 pm – Native Plant Sale

SATURDAY, NOV. 30

9:00 am to 4:00 pm – The Native Plant Sale will continue until all plants are sold.

10:00 am – Talk with Mike Evans- An expert in California native plants will describe how to design gardens patterned after natural ecosystems. Evans founded the 40-acre Tree of Life Nursery in 1976 and says it is now the largest native plant supplier in California.

As a part of the weekend activities, there will be a 45-minute walk in the Visitor Center garden immediately following Evans’ presentation. It will reveal strategies desert plants use to survive in a harsh and unforgiving environment.

There will also be an exhibit of Kumeyaay artifacts, history and culture.
