Field Guide to Common Bees of California by Gretchen Lebuhn is a new book by the University of California Press. It is an easy to use field guide of bees of the most common bees of California and the Western United States. It includes identification keys as well as  detailed color illustrations, species characteristics, nesting information, food resources and flight season for each bee.
