Rio Grande National Forest Fall Color 9/24/13

Rio Grande National Forest  has the following fall color updates:

Conejos Peak District    September 23 – lower elevations, the color  change is about 3%

Divide District    September 24- starting to get some colors in the Creede area but just spots, maybe 20% changed -not too spectacular yet !!!  No color change in lower elevations. Estimate one more week for peak color time.

Saguache District       September 24 – East of 285 the Sangre de Cristos are probably the most colorful and the San Juans to the west have some color also.  Estimate one more week for peak color time.
