Moles Smell In Stereo

National Geographic reported that moles have the ability to smell in stereo. They can tell if a smell is coming from the right or left. Each nostril operates independently of the other and send different signals to the brain. This allows the brain to determine the direction of the odor. As moles have poor vision the ability to smell in stereo helps them to find food and avoid predatators. Read more at National Geographic: Moles Smell in Stereo to Find Food, Dodge Predators.
