Tonight I went on a Golden Gate evening bird walk led by Rusty Scalf. The walk was in the north end of Tilden Park out to Jewel Lake. The goal of the walk was to hear the evening chorus, especially the Swainson’s Thrush. It was cold and windy and some of the birds were hunkered down but we did get to hear a number of Swainson’s Thrush and had one brief visual sighting. Fourteen other birds were also heard or seen during the one hour walk. Also heard was a Pacific Tree Frog. You can see this evening’s bird list at: Tilden Park Evening Bird walk 6/4/13
