Today I did a relatively quick birding walk along the Bay Trail and Eastshore State Park in Berkeley between Gilman Street and University Av. The wind was fairly strong and there many fewer birds than earlier in the season. I also forgot my binoculars, which certainly didn’t help but did have a scope and camera with a medium telephoto zoom lens. Probably the most interesting birds today were a pair of Gadwall in the Bay next to University Av. I only was able to identify 13 different birds today. Here is my list from today: Eastshore State Park and Bay Trail Bird List 5/26/13. I didn’t do many pictures today, but there was one Red-winged Blackbird who posed for me.
