Before leaving Florida we decided to go Wakodahatchee one more time. It was much less crowded early Monday morning than on Sunday middle of the day. There were less birds but we did manage to get a new bird, Least Bittern. There were many good views of the great Blue Herons and Anhingas nesting and with young. If you are in south Florida I highly recommend a visit to Wakodahatchee in the next few weeks.
We managed to identify twenty-four species. We also saw a large alligator and two large iguanas. To see today’s bird list go to Wakodahatchee Bird List 1/21/13
