January 26 is the city of Galt’s sixth annual Galt Winter Bird Festival. It celebrates the thousands of resident and migratory birds that winter in the area. Highlights are:
- guided tours of the central valley
- presentations on Native birds, shorebirds, wetlands, and waterbirds of the central valley
- Key Note Speaker: David Yee: Are You Doing A Big Year?
- children’s program
