4th Annual Botany Festival & Plant Sale
The public is invited to all events. No charge.
Friday, Nov. 23
9:00 am to 5:00 pm – Plant Sale, Traditional Hand-made Crafts from Baja, and demonstrations of the use of plants by Native Americans
Saturday, Nov. 24
9:00 am to 4:00 pm – Traditional Hand-made Crafts from Baja, and demonstrations of the use of plants by Native Americans. Plant Sale will continue until all plants are sold.
10:00 am – Deborah Small and Abe Sanchez, specialists in Native American foods, will speak about the gathering and preparing of native foods.
Proceeds from native plant sales will benefit the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Botany Society.

WRECKAGE OF TIME: FISH CREEK BADLANDS December 1, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Join our resident expert Paul Remeika on a visit into the stony depths of Split Mountain Gorge to see the initial rock record of sedimentation within the Salton Basin. Follow Fish Creek Wash on a fantastic journey through a host of sedimentary layerings to Sandstone Canyon.
SUNSET PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR December 1, 3:00 – 7:00 pm
Join photographers Ernie and Kati Cowan for a spectacular sunset photo tour to one of Anza- Borrego’s most iconic locations, Fonts Point, where you’ll learn techniques that will turn your afternoon and evening photographs into works of art.
