I was back on the Bay Trail today heading north from Pt. Isabel. We went out a little over a mile and back just after high tide. Today I had the bonus of birding with naturalist Bob Gibbons of Natural History Travel who has led a number of the European nature trips I have gone on. We identified 37 species, which I think is the most I have had on a single day on this trail. Of note was the number of Clark’s Grebes seen; at one point we have five together. Also had five killdeer fly in together.
