Reducing Bird-Plane Collisions

Science Daily published a recent article  Taking a bird’s eye view could cut wildlife collisions with aircraft. It discusses how lights on airplanes can decrease frequency of airplane-bird collisions.  A key issue in the research was using knowledge of birds visual systems. This is a win-win for both birds and planes.
