The LA Times reported that a part of the California coast in northern Santa Cruz County will be protected from development under an agreement approved by the Coastal Commission. The land know as the Coast Dairies ranch includes ocean-side bluffs, beaches, hills and redwood groves. The land will be transferred to state and federal governmental agencies and operated as a combination of open space and farm land.
