I was in Tilden Park today and did a short hike on a very muddy Tower Trail to Gillespie youth camp and along South Park Drive (which is now open to cars) and then into the Regional Parks Botanic Garden. Many more flowers are in bloom since I was last there a few weeks ago. Below are some photos and if you click read more you can see my bird list from today.

That purple fairy lantern is a new one on me. I’d never heard of it before. Excellent find.

I can’t take much credit for finding it. It was in the bulb bed at the Regional Parks Botanic Garden.
