While my birding by ear class was in Briones Park in California, I am in Texas for a short visit. I did manage to get in a short birding walk this morning at Commons Ford Park in Travis, Texas. I saw Northern Cardinals, which I don’t get to see in California. I also saw a few birds that are new to me (at least since I have gotten more serious about birding) Ladder-backed Woodpecker, Eastern Bluebirds and a Tufted or Black-crested Titmouse.
