Mountain Road Update: Many Roads Are Still Open

Many mountain passes are open and snow is not predicted in the immediate future so this may be an opportunity to get to the mountains late in the season. California Department of  Transportation reports as of  12/1911 at 9:30 AM:

  • Highway 50:     some delays due to construction
  • Carson Pass (88)   some delays due to construction.
  • Ebbets Pass (4) open no restrictions
  • Monitor Pass (89) NO TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS ARE REPORTED FOR THIS AREA.
  • Sonora Pass (108) IS CLOSED FROM 26.4 MI EAST OF STRAWBERRY TO 5.4 MI WEST OF THE
    JCT OF US 395 /SONORA PASS/ (TUOLUMNE,MONO CO) – FOR THE WINTER
  • Donner Pass (I-80) Open
  • Yuba Pass (49)  some delays due to construction.

Yosemite

  • Tioga Road: open
  • Glacier Point Road:open
  • Mariposa Grove: open

Lassen  roads are all closed
