The Sacarmento Bee reported that Pattern Energy Group LP made a decision to cancel a wind farm project in Yolo county. The company said the project would create greater risk to local bird populations. Studies have shown that between 1,766 and 4,721 birds are killed annually at the Altamont Pass wind farms.
