The Columbian reported the cancellation of a wind power project that threatened Marbled Murrelets in Washington. The project has been controversial from the start. Marbled Murrelets have threatened status due to habitat loss. Utility companies planned to build a 45 wind turbine project in the primary remaining Marble Murrelet habitat in southwest Washington.
