The Orionid meteor shower will be peaking just before dawn on Oct. 21 and 22, 2011. The earth passing through a trail of dust from Halley’s comet creates the Orionid meteor shower. The Orionids get their name because the meteors shower looks like it is coming from the constellation Orion.
