26,500 Acres Of Ranchland To Become Part Of Petrified Forest National Park

Petrified Forest National Park is gaining 26,500 acres of private ranchland today.  The new areas are rich in fossils of dinosaurs.  The new acquisition opens possibilities for archaeological exploration and includes petroglyph sites and basketmaker villages.  Read more at the NY Times Deal Will Expand Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona.
