In keeping with my holiday pattern I visited a local garden for the fourth day in a row. It has been a very good holiday weekend visiting local gardens, seeing flowers, and doing photography daily. The gardens have a much longer bloom season as they all use some water.
Today I visited the Regional Parks Botanic Garden at Tilden Park. Calochortus, Lilies, Matilija Poppies, Clarkias, California Poppies, Roses, Spice Bush, Yerba Mansa and many other flowers are in bloom. It was bright and sunny so I mostly worked in the shady areas or looked for backlit flowers. To see larger better quality photos go to Flickr Slideshow
