Wildflower Report: Owens Valley, Alabama Hills 4/22/11

The BLM just posted this wildflower update for the area east of the Sierra (Owens Valley, Alabama Hills, Fish Slough, Volcanic Tablelands):

“Most parts of the Owens Valley are greening up.

I have not been south of Bishop in the last week or so, so I am not sure how things are doing down there but I am sure many of the things on this list could be found. As always I would recommend exploring the Alabama Hills.

Many of the plants listed below I saw just off the Fish Slough road or on lower portions of the Volcanic Tablelands. I would recommend driving out the Fish Slough road and getting out and exploring various spots along the way”
