The Ridgecrest Desert Wildflower Festival will be taking place from April 15 through 17. Ridgecrest is in the Indian Wells Valley of Northeastern Kern County. The festival will take place at the Maturango Museum 100 E. Las Flores Av. in Ridgecrest. The festival features the floral display in the surrounding foothills and the Mojave Desert with arts, crafts, performers, vendors, hand-on-activities, workshops, geocaching and tour guides. Wildflower photographer, Kahlee Brighton, of the Wildflower Conservancy will be speaking on Saturday at 2:30. Lin Morre will be the featured artist showing her photography.
